A lil' bit of this and a lil' bit of that!

Adrian Turned 40!!!

Yes, he is holding a beer and a bottle of his favorite hair gel. Those two things alone make him a happy guy! Cheers!

We surprised Adrian with a birthday dinner with family at Lucille's BBQ. Thank you to my family, for helping me pull it off! It was so great to see Adrian happy and enjoying the day. Even though he is now officially and OLD MAN, he still managed to have a good time! Not to grumpy... I guess I shouldn't be too mean. Although I am quite a few years behind him...Love you dear!

We had a great time! Caden of course had a blast. Playing with all his cousins and family. Emma was a bit overwhelmed by it all. But she did good overall and hung in there for the most part. Welcome to the family Emma. We are a big and LOUD group!!!! She'll learn!

Love ya!

Poor Em's! She would be fine for a minute and as soon as she would see that Momma is not the one holding her...well the picture tells the story. Love you Grandpa Leroux.

Some Easter fun at Irvine Park!

Emma and Nana enjoying some shade. I like your hat Nana...I think!

Maybe I don't like your hat Nana. Even Nana had a hard time with her hat. But you were looking good Nana! Fashion is pain!

Hmmm....I think I'm having fun. I am on an Easter Egg Hunt with hundreds of eggs to find but they told me I couldn't have more than 8 to be fair. Why is my basket so big then? What am I to do? Mr. Bunny can you help me out?

Nana, Jampa, Caden and Emma enjoying a gorgeous day! So glad they came out to join us. Just made the day that much more special.

Just lovin' Emma and that one finger. Adorable!

Okay so we opened our 8 eggs (then recycled them back to the park for future use) and found that we didn't win any "golden ticket" or anything like that. But we had candy! Not anything good. (I'm mean like chocolate or something I would enjoy) Lot's of hard candies....there were two pieces of chocolate and Jampa and Caden shared one...slightly melted. And the other one...well take a guess where it went!

Riding on the train. We ended up in the front of the line so we got first choice of our seats. So we took the caboose. Right behind the conductor. And fffffffffaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr away from the loud whistle. So Emma could enjoy her train ride in peace.

Nana, Jampa and Caden riding the caboose!

Sweetie Girl!

Okay and to prove that our sweet Em's is a happy baby...here's a shot of her happy face. I just realized that most of my postings of her were sad. And she is a very happy baby girl. Full of laughs and giggles.

Emma has learned a lot lately. Days ago she started pointing. She pointed at her daddy and said, "Da da." We were so thrilled! Emma also now claps. And points to trees and babbles at them. She LOVES trees! We love you Emma!

Sweet Em's

Oh sweet Em's....Just about 8 months old and where did the time go? I just can't say enough about what a "good" baby she is. Emma is just so sweet and just rolls with the punches. I guess you don't have much of a choice when you have a big brother to keep up with. Speaking of whom...she absolutely adores. Caden can do no wrong in her eyes an he is good for hours of entertainment. I bet she just can't wait to be chasing after that boy! When he pops around the corner or is playing a bit of peek-a-boo, she is squirming and kicking with delight. Gosh I just love these kidos! They sure make this motherhood thing a joy! (on most days...hehe)

So what is Emma up to these days you ask? Loving bananas and avocados. Wearing them, eating them, you name it. She is loving going to the park and people/kid watching. She just comes alive around people. Loving her toys, and yes she does actually like tummy time unlike someone else whose name we won't mention. Sits up well. Crawls backwards and is an awesome pivoter...is that a word? Um...don't know. Anyhoo...that's my Em's or Emsie or Emma Bemma or Emsie Bemsie or Asha Boo...we have many nicknames for her. Our precious girl.

You Silly Rabbit!

So at dinner tonight Caden kept telling me how the white bunny keeps telling him to be quiet. So I'm thinking okay...he has an imaginary friend (bunny) and he is acting something out. Maybe the rough day he had at preschool and this is his way of dealing with it. Then I look down at his yogurt cup (Trix) and I see a white bunny with a finger up to his mouth. You know, telling Caden to be quiet. You silly rabbit!!!

It's warming up around here!

Okay, really? How could you just not adore that face...Getting nice and toasty outside so we hung out on the patio! I know, I know...your jealous! But really, I had the best time with Caden today. He is a Summer baby and just loves the heat. Sweet Em's took a long nap today (just like every other day...thank you Jesus for a good sleeper) and Caden and I just hung out. Simple pleasures...pretty much what my life is all about.
Thank you Caden! Watering the plants and flowers. He just may have his Nana's green thumb. I think I may have a green pinky...hit and miss with the gardening. But not Caden, he'll do it all. Weeding, digging, watering...you name it, he'll do it! Oh the chores he'll get one day!!! HMMM?

This is after he soaked his dear momma with the hose! Okay I started it! I only got what I deserved, right? Actually felt good! Then he got my phone and monitor wet but we all survived the drenching. Thank's sweety pie! (not bud's or buddy) hehe
After the "Patio Fun" we hit the park when Em's woke up! Okay...note to self: Do not take your children to the park on St. Patty's Day -OR- bring another shirt other than green to wear! Not fun trying to spot your child when there are 20 other ones wearing the exact same shade of green. But we had fun. I actually got quite emotional watching him play today. He is growing up and becoming such a grown up little boy. Okay I may be a bit bias but Caden is really going to make someone a great friend. He will take what you dish out and be there for you no matter what. Listening to him have a conversation with another boy today just broke my heart...in a good way. Something like, "Hi my name is Caden C-A-D-E-N." Other boy,"My name is Noah N-O-A-H and I am 4yrs old." Caden says,"I am almost 4 yrs old. Do you want to play with me?" other boy,"Yes let's go!" Okay may not seem special to you but it warmed my soul.
Okay this went on and on. Caden always spells out his name. I just died when he found a friend that did the same thing and according to his Nanny he does it all the time. He found a good friend today. Yes I make friends with lot's of Nannies around here in good ole RSM! Where are all the SAHM's???

Okay...so it's been some time since I've blogged. Um let's see about 3 yrs. Well life has been busy, but hey it's never too late, right? Stay tuned for some new pic's and updates.
